For over 30 years, AdvantEdge has been a leader in the Washington, DC workspace industry, providing distinctive and customized office space for lease. With more than 80 years of combined managerial experience, we guarantee each client unparalleled support, individualized attention, and on-site assistance. Currently consisting of two locations in Class-A buildings, AdvantEdge offers high-end office space while maintaining affordability.

Our History

After spending several years in the Washington, DC serviced office space industry, AdvantEdge Founder and CEO, Prakash Gavri, saw a need for customized office options catered toward small businesses across various industries. Businesses craved professional spaces with customizable amenities that would not restrict their growth or subject new companies to excessive overhead costs.

AdvantEdge Workspaces began in 1988 as Washington Executive Services, Inc. when Gavri, opened his first office suite at our West End Center located in the World Wildlife Fund building (1250 24th Street NW) featuring 20,000 square feet of premium office space. In 1990, after seeing the success of the West End Center, Prakash opened a second office suite at our Chevy Chase Center in the Chevy Chase Pavilion building. This location, called Chevy Chase Executive Services, Inc., opened with 11,000 square feet of office space suited to businesses looking for a DC address with easy access to the MD and VA suburbs.

In 2004, the AdvantEdge Business Centers brand was created to unite the two companies—a move which allowed the addition of our newest location, 2101 L Street. Opened in April of 2012, our Downtown Center is located in the Central Business District at the corner of 21st & L Streets (2101 L Street NW) connecting businesses to Downtown DC and Capitol Hill.

Spring of 2016 marked a milestone in our business history as we added an additional 23,000 sq ft of space at our Downtown DC location and retired the use of our West End location. With our 30th Anniversary quickly approaching, we took the leap in 2017 to rebrand ourselves as AdvantEdge Workspaces to reflect the ever-expanding diversity of workspace and business support options that we offer.

Expansion & Renovation

Each of our business centers and office spaces in Washington, DC have grown considerably since their foundation, most notably our Chevy Chase location. This center has more than quadrupled in size, expanding from 11,000 square feet to its current size of 52,000 square feet.

Our Downtown Center has nearly tripled in size since its opening, adding 10,000 square feet in March of 2013, 11,000 square feet in March of 2014, and 23,000 square feet in May of 2016 to create the current space consisting of close to 75,000 square feet across three suites.
