The holiday season is in full swing! There is a little over a week left until we can wind down for the year, so make the remaining time at the office for 2021 count. Whether you are celebrating with coworkers or putting up some decor, here are four ways to enjoy the holidays in a shared workspace.

1. Give Back

Amidst all the gift buying, it’s important to remember to contribute to your community this season. Most shared workspaces already give back during the holiday, but there is no such thing as too much giving! Make food for a shelter, organize a clothing drive, deliver meals to the elderly, write cards to those serving overseas- the possibilities are endless. After a tough year, local organizations could use help. Reach out directly to see what they might still need this year!

2. Stay Flexible

In a shared workspace, you get to work on your own schedule. During the holidays, flexing work time may be the biggest trick to making it through the season stress-free. Come in early to hit the stores for shopping before rush hour, or come in later to get in a workout while it is light out during the day. No matter how you choose to budget your time, a shared workspace offers the flexibility you need to get your work done during one of the busiest times of the year. Rent a space for a few hours, a day, or a month. Come and go whenever you want, and know that whenever you step foot into your workspace, a team is there to support you.

3. Step Up Decor

For decor that is festive yet professional, add in a poinsettia or some garland on shelves. If lights won’t bother others, add a strand around the edges of your desk or monitor. You can also spring for a mini tree and invite others to help you decorate! Ornaments and other personal decor items also serve as a conversation starter with clients, guests, and colleagues.

4. Let’s Party!

It isn’t the holidays without a party! Most shared workspaces hold parties for clients, which is a great way to mix and mingle. But more parties never hurt anybody, so throw together a last-minute gathering! It can be as simple as a happy hour or cookie swap.

Holiday celebrations also don’t have to be a big to-do. Simply inviting others to grab a seasonal beverage at your local coffee shop is a great way to make the day special! Got an extra hour to spare? Get a group of coworkers in a Secret Santa gift exchange. It’s fun to shop for others and seeing the reveals always brings laughter!

At AdvantEdge, we know the holiday season can be stressful. We aim to help you enjoy the season as much as possible, through little festive moments and providing support. In a shared workspace, you can truly enjoy the holidays while staying on top of your professional life. ‘Tis the season for festivities, fun, and getting things done!
