All Things Chevy! Chevy Chase Pavilion Construction Updates

12.06.12

AdvantEdge is proud to be expanding our Chevy Chase, DC center with a brand new, 17,000 square foot business office suite opening by January 1, 2013.  The design of our new space incorporates recessed flat panel televisions, multimedia displays, and the latest communication and data services.  Highlights of the suite include a 50-person training facility featuring an operable glass partition, an upscale lounge and café, and various other spaces conducive for collaboration, networking, and relaxation.

Coupled with this expansion will be the updated atrium of the Chevy Chase Pavilion (in which our center has been offering shared office, virtual office, and conference room space since 1988) highlighted by a 30-by-60 foot LED wall. To celebrate this exciting time of change, here is a summary of the new amenities which our Chevy Chase clients can enjoy in the Pavilion’s atrium!

  • Range by Bryan Voltaggio will be the former Top Chef’s fourth restaurant opening since his run on the popular food competition show.  Scheduled to open Tuesday, December 17th, this contemporary American restaurant “will occupy 14,500 square feet of the mall’s second floor ... with seats for almost 300 diners and a full bakery. Meat will be the primary focus, the Volt chef and ‘Top Chef’ alum said, but he’s planning a large menu — more than 40 dishes on an 11-by-17 sheet of paper — with Matt Hill, who opened Charlie Palmer Steak with Voltaggio in 2003,serving as chef de cuisine. Range will have stations dedicated to pizza and pasta, breads and even — a holiday wish come true? — chocolate.” - Alex Baldinger and Tim Carman
  • H&M will be the latest clothing and accessories store to join the Chevy Chase Pavilion to go along with J.Crew.  H&M will occupy two floors in the Pavilion space formerly occupied by the Pottery Barn.  The Swedish retail giant opened its first store in 1947 and according to its website is now represented on more than 40 markets.  Furthermore “H&M’s designers create a broad and diverse range of fashion for men, women, youth and children. In addition to the clothes cosmetics, accessories and home textile products are all part of what H&M has to offer.”  Read more about H&M here.
  • The Civil Cigar Lounge will be the second venture for the owners of DC’s oldest tobacco store, W. Curtis Draper Tobacconist (which is celebrating its 125th year of business!).  Along with serving the finest cigars and tobacco products, as the Washington Post states, food will also be offered: “Civil Lounge’s small plates will be provided by RANGE, according to a press release from Clarion Partners, which owns the Chevy Chase Pavilion.”  So for those who enjoy a cuban cigar, don't forget to check out this upscale lounge!
